ENTRANCE TO THE LIGHTING ANGEL CITY

ENTRANCE TO THE LIGHTING ANGEL CITY

This is the final day here. We are at heaven, sorry at Kuala Lumpur. I had never dreamt of the event happened in these three days here.” Educational tour to Malaysia”, there are certain limits to a middle class family student in his life, and the quoted statement was beyond the imagination of the one. Yes I’m in, I said as the response to the proposal of international tour from the college.
“This is the first international trip to be organised by our college for the first time ever in last 20 years, this should be huge and massive hit” Saravanan sir, the overall coordinator of the tour was saying to us. As usually my mind vehicle kept me in my own Malaysian tour. After the meeting I called my dad to get the confirmation of his permission to let me abroad, got back with negative response. Expected!
Finally, dad showed a green signal with extra credit to my account for my other expenses other than the fees. The date April 14th was declared as the date of take off. The excitement goes to the peak that myself and my parents published my journey to our relatives and everyone was happy to hear that, I’m the first person in our heritage to fly overseas. I was in a state of ecstasy. Planning many things to execute, even boozing comes along the list of wishes.
First excitement comes in route of Ringgit notes, we exchanged for our expenses in Malaysia. The business of posting updates started with my post of exchanged Ringgits. I had started making arrangements for the trip. Anticipating the date our days became so longer. The day before flight, I had made a video call to my home and met my family virtually; by the way I had packed my bag within 7kg limits as per the direction of the authority.
14th merely morning at 4:32 I woke up to get ready for bus for Trichy Airport from our college. It was almost 6 in the morning for everyone to reach near the bus. We started the journey to Kuala Lumpur from Coimbatore. We stopped at 3 stops for refreshments, then reached Airport at 2:24 at evening after taking lunch at hotel near by Airport. I met my aunty and my two little cousins, which made myself and my sister feel happy and great before take off. At 3 o clock evening sharp the immigration process started at the Airport. After all the formalities it was informed that the flight was late and we can only take off at 6pm.
At 5:23pm we saw the flight we are going to fly to the other land, and the cabin crew let us in to the flight by 5:40 pm. The flight moved in a way that the air got tear to let way to it. The feel at the take off was an awesome experience, like an amusement park Columbus ride. I was flying! I can’t explain that feeling. The 4 hours journey flies faster than our flight. Reached Kuala Lumpur international Airport at 12:10 am by Malaysian time. The Airport, the cab which took us to hotel at buking bintang, the speed breaker less road showed the major difference between India and Malaysia. The rooms allotted for us in the hotel which was 500 mtrs away from Times square was taken by 3 per room.
It was 10 am to make every one ready for the ride, after taking food at the hotel. The food was good than the vendor next to us that we eat last night. The beauty of Kuala Lumpur made us believe that we are at the other world. The cab arranged took us to pewter factory, after a small visit to Times square. The visitors were stickered for the factory’s entry, which gave me a smile by reminding AMMA. Then we had been to Istana Negera the kings palace. The guide said the total history of the Malaysia which seems boring at last we came to know that we are there before a week of the election of the king of Malaysia. Then the Waktu Melawat monument which stands for free Malaysia from 31st august 1957. The next giant stop was at Twin Towers which stood neck breaking 458 feet height and took 7 years to build by Japan and Korea.
Malaysia had long nights with ice vodka at the room shared by myself Vinu and Syam. The next day starts with Merdeca museum followed by art gallery. What a city! Clean roads, tall buildings, mesmerising lightings. MURUGA, yes at the battu caves muruga temple a divine beauty, I wished to visit Malaysia only for this part of time. Billa 2, Thala, Malaysia, nothing else to explain. Then the genting highland, incomparable beauty and it’s Sky avenue made the day. Hours before the sunset we were at Sky way casino, the winch travel and the mist around made us feel heaven, and ended at VSOP night. The next day is to experience life of Malaysia, we travel on monorail and underground rail and reached Kuala Lumpur city center. The afternoon shows the purpose of our tour, we visited The Malaysian university and met the assistant dean of the university and attended the one hour non boring seminar. For my wonder I didn’t even shut my eye in the seminar. The day ended without boozing as the night had a long get together with all staffs and students.
The phone alarms at 6 am to woke us up and Vinu went for refreshment and Syam was sleeping and me narrating the happenings till today. Alas forgive me for not mentioning the worst hotel WiFi, video calls to home daily, and more and more enjoyed cab rides. And today our rides are to Ministry of Trade and Industry to visit Malaysia and New Zealand 60th anniversary joint forum, and to Putra jaya masjid on the way to Airport. Yup Vinu came out and its me to get fresh. Bye...
So many selfies, so many memories, so many contacts, at last all showers a rain of goose bumps into veins. Friendly peoples, heavenly views, gonna miss you the beautiful part of the world. Exactly, Malaysia is the lighting angel city....
